Hello! My name is Michael DePeri. I am a Visual Designer based out of the Greater Philadelphia area. I’ve been designing since 2020 for both fun, school, and work. I have designed web pages, mobile apps, social media content, digital ads, email graphics and more.
I am well versed in programs such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and have experience with Sketch, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Dimension.
I am both a practitioner and lover of design. From minimalist websites, colorful mural art, and modern architecture there is something to learn from in the designs that are around us everyday.

FAQS (AND FUN FACTS)
How long have you been A DESIGNER?
I have been designing since early 2020 or roughly 5 years. I was 2 months into my intro level design course in college when COVID-19 ravaged the world. Yeah… it was an interesting start to my design career for sure. But through it all I was able to learn through my coursework and internships - which led me to both freelance and full time work after I graduated.
Where did you go to college and what did you major in?
I went to Ramapo College of New Jersey & majored in Visual Communication Design. It was a great program that covered several design tracks such as web design, print/publication design, motion design/graphics, UI/UX design, packaging design, and more. I really got to explore different areas while learning a wide range of design software during my time at RCNJ.
WHERE DO YOU WORK NOW?
Currently, I work at Pep Boys as the eCommerce Graphic Designer. Pep Boys is a 103 year old auto service & tires chain. I started in November 2023 and it has been nothing short of a blast! I have learned so much about solving design problems in the real world, working alongside experienced marketing, design, and IT professionals. As an added bonus, I’m a car enthusiast - so working within the automotive industry promoting services and tires never gets old! :)
Aside from work & education, do you have other career highlights?
I do! While in college, I won 2 design awards for my work. In 2021 I won ‘Best UX Design Project’ and in 2022 I won ‘Best UI Design Project’ in the school’s yearly design showcase.
I also wanted to supplement my design knowledge so I obtained a UX Design Professional Certificate from Google.
GOT ANY FUN FACTS?
Do I ever. For starters, I am a devoted pizza maker (aka a pizzaiolo). I make pizza every Friday night using my own dough. Pizza has been my favorite food my whole life and I enjoy making it as much as I love eating it!
I am a proud cat-dad to my black American shorthair named Poe! When I adopted him, he was incredibly shy as he had a rough life up until that point. But a few months after bringing him home he has become my purring pal!
Despite growing up in Northern New Jersey and currently living in South Jersey I am a diehard Baltimore Ravens & Baltimore Orioles fan. I visted Baltimore when I was young, fell in love with the city and teams - been a fan ever since.
And finally in my free time I enjoy playing video games, reading graphic novels, watching YouTube videos, and cruising around in my Volkswagen Golf GTI.
