EMAIL PROJECTS
-
Inform Customers
The purpose of the email graphics is to both inform customers about current promotions and to entice them to visit Pep Boys.
-
GROW THE EMAIL PROGRAM
With thousands of customers on file, it is important for the company’s growth to have the email program expand.
EMAIL HERO GRAPHICS
Emails graphics need to serve a variety of purposes depending on business need. One graphic could promote a service, while another needs to build brand awareness using seasonal messaging and visuals for example.
Dedicated Email Graphics
EXAMPLE OF FULL-LENGTH EMAIL
This email was a targeted email campaign to the Southwest region of the U.S. The purpose was to promote Shell Rotella diesel engine oil changes at Pep Boys and that customers could receive a $40 e-gift card for their purchase.
Email graphics are static and provided to the CRM team to implement into the email template. Several elements on emails are live text including disclaimers and CTA buttons.
A full-length email typically consists of 3 parts that I have to design:
A hero feature - typically a lifestyle image of some kind. In this example, it made sense to use a RAM pickup truck that runs on diesel and would use Rotella engine oil.
Main graphic - this asset is arguably the most important since it not only has to convey the essential information about a promo, but it has to do so in a concise manner.
Secondary graphic - the secondary graphic is created to provide supporting information regarding the promotion.
EXAMPLE OF A SPANISH EMAIL
Pep Boys has locations in both the continental United States as well as Puerto Rico. In order to effectively communicate to our Spanish speaking customers, I manually translate the email graphics. The Marketing Manager based in Puerto Rico provides the translations and I implament
Some graphics that contain seasonal imagery, like the example here, needs to properly reflect what Puerto Rico looks like during that particular season and is adjusted accordingly.
