MOODI
About:
As part of one of my two college capstone courses, I created a brand called Moodi. Moodi serves as a digital emotional support companion.
Here’s how it works: At the beginning of each day, the user would be promoted to pick one of six emotions they’re feeling that day. Based on which emotion they select, the would receive positive affirmations in the form of in app messages and notifications in an attempt to make them happy.
Moodi was designed to be downloaded and used on mobile, web, and smartwatch devices. In addition, Moodi would be on social media platforms such as Instagram.

Volkswagen Golf GTI Ad
About:
Inspired by the iconic Volkswagen ads of the 1960’s, I designed an ad using that style to promote the (at the time) new generation of the GTI. The ad utilizes copy from Volkswagen - speaking to the car’s driving dynamics, features, and iconic status as the original hot hatch.

pizzaiolo
About:
Pizzaiolo in a weird way was my love letter to pizza. Although simple in its user flow, Pizzaiolo is a mobile app where users learn about… PIZZA mind blown. The app gives brief history on pizza, including history about pizza from Naples, New York, and Chicago. Users can also learn about ‘pizza chemistry’ i.e. how choosing the right cheese, sauce, toppings, and dough recipe all determine how a pizza will end up tasting.

About:
As a euro car enthusiast, I am a huge fan of Audi and BMW. Utilizing their typefaces, logos, and photography, I created an ad for each brand promoting their respective concept sports cars.

Adidas NMD Email
About:
Adidas has several iconic lines of sneakers, and I chose to create an email feature of the NMD line. The goal was to create a graphic that stylistically matched the shoe - Sharp elements, pops of color, and an edge factor.

CEO Birthday Graphic
About:
Perhaps one of the most random and interesting design projects I’ve taken on or been assigned was designing a birthday graphic for the Pep Boys CEO, Joe Auriemma
Here’s how the conversation went between the VP of Marketing & Communications and myself:
“Michael, we are going to make Joe a birthday card and we need a design for it. Can I have it by end-of-day so we can print and start getting signatures?”
“Um… yeah, sure. I’ll work something up!”
I got the creative juices flowing and like magic, the graphic was made.
In all seriousness, the design was a hit throughout the office. The design was not only featured on the card, but also printed for the office walls and displayed on the TV’s. What made this a notable project most of all was how much Joe enjoyed and appreciated it!
